  • Around 100 languages, with translation to English

Tips for better Chinese results

Keep Chinese selected rather than automatic detection, especially when speakers mix in English words. If names or fast speech come out wrong, choose Most accurate: the larger model is slower but handles accents better.

Choose Translate to English under Output if you need an English version of the Chinese recording. Use the SRT download to add Chinese subtitles to YouTube or your video editor.

How it works

  1. Choose your file

Pick an audio or video file from your computer or phone. It is opened by your browser, not sent anywhere.

  2. The AI listens on your device

The first time, your browser downloads the speech model and keeps it, so later files start faster.

  3. Edit and download

Fix any word in the transcript, then copy it or download it as TXT, SRT or VTT.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no limit on minutes or files, and no watermark. The work happens on your own device, so each file costs us nothing.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser reads the file and the AI processes it on your device. Only the AI model is downloaded, once, and stored in your browser for next time.

Which languages does it understand?

Around 100, including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Portuguese and Indonesian. Choosing the spoken language usually gives better results than automatic detection.

How long can my file be?

There is no fixed limit. Longer files take longer, and speed depends on your device. Keep this tab open until it finishes.

Which browser works best?

Chrome or Edge on a computer, because they can use your graphics card. Other browsers and phones work too, but more slowly.
